The Story

In the spring of 1915, whilst stationed in Ypres, a Canadian doctor, Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae wrote his now famous poem, In Flanders Fields, shortly after losing a friend there. The sight of the poppies growing in the battle-scarred fields inspired him and because of this, the poppy will forever be a symbol of Remembrance and hope. It is also now seen as a symbol of hope for a positive future, and a peaceful world. They have become a show of support for the Armed Forces community, those currently serving, ex-serving personnel and their families, and a symbol of Remembrance for all those who have fallen in conflict.

This Flanders Field Poppy Brooch is a timeless and dignified representation of the iconic symbol of Remembrance.

Featuring rich red enamel petals with a subtle radiating texture and a contrasting black centre, this design captures the essence of the poppy in a refined and elegant form. The polished gold-tone outline frames the petals beautifully, enhancing the depth of colour and giving the piece a classic finish.

Understated and meaningful, the Flanders Field Poppy Brooch offers a respectful way to honour those who have served and sacrificed. Whether worn as a personal tribute or given as a thoughtful gift, it serves as a lasting symbol of reflection and remembrance.

All profits from your purchase will go towards the Royal British Legion's work in supporting the Armed Forces community.
